Where is everyone? I'm just north of NYC getting ready to sit in traffic on my way to south Jersey, and then off to Illinois and Wisconsin.

Man, those NE routes suck... Glad ya'll are willing to take them in the sense of duty! I PREFER to stay out and generally am able to say "hell no, been there, done that". Thankfully I have the experience to back it up. If it's a hot load I'll take it to preserve our service record, but you'll owe me one... And if a carrier delivers there frequently - employ local drivers, problem solved.

i just never understand the hate on the North East
unless i could just drive in Kansas and Nebrska
    everywhere can be problematic
if i never see Texas again it will be ok

now a steady diet of Boston to DC would require more pay

Heading for Tooele in the a.m. Then going to roll up to ID for a Portland load.

NE: The toll roads bug me beyond the point of irritable. That thrown in with the old towns not upgraded to allow for easy 53 foot van access makes me inclined to pass. Unless of course they offer me way too much money.

Cranky, I agree on TX. They are a state that builds new roads in industrial areas that are not friendly to 53 foot trucks. And well the 4 wheelers are so self righteous they seem to all need to be given a good healthy Orchard style Howdy Doody!
