I have seen a couple Gordon cascadias pulling Lynden trailers recently -- has Heartland decided to expand even farther to the west?

No. Gordon has always pulled their trailers. Usually load them and run them up to the Seattle ports so they can be loaded on the ship for Alaska.

Lynden is much larger company than Heartland or Gordon,, they as mentioned above are just loading lynden trailers and moving them to lynden terminals,,

They are the real deal in Alaska. The TV show made it out to look like Carlile was the big deal going. Not a chance. Lynden is the big player in Alaska.

Yeah, I know they're a big player. My uncle actually hauls milk locally in the PacNW for Lynden & you see a lot of them in Houston too. Didn't know they subbed some stuff out to Gordon though...

Lyden must be hiding their equipment then. According to the FMCSA Lyden Transportation, based in WA, only has 200 trucks. Heartland has around 6000 including gordon.
Heartland has 2855 and gordon has 1922. So a little bit larger.

Lyden has several different divisions. Brown Line, Milky Way, Alaska West, etc. Look at what they have in Alaska.

Add it all together and I still doubt they have more than 1000 trucks. I am sure their brokerage services have more trucks working for them, but DOT numbers are for the entire companys name. So all the ones that are "Lyden" are under that 200 truck number, including all that may be leased to them and running under their authority. I can count all the common carriers that have more than 5000 trucks on one hand.
Biggest in Alaska, Washington, Oregon etc. Is still not necessarily a LARGE carrier.
That is all I was trying to say, in reaction to a comment saying that they were much larger than Heartland and Gordon.
