Started at 50 here, hauling building materials on a flatbed, paid by the hour and a local gig to boot.
-
I should add that I was happy at PAM, although the pay was weak, but moved back home to care for my aging mother. Home nights and weekends isn't a bad gig and no longer keeping logs is nice. -
Sky, I was looking at R+L, are they treating you ok there? What is the starting hrly wage?

I just got my cdl this week. Guy in my class was 71.

I start at Mid Florida Tech on the 29th. I'll be 59 in Sept. I worked in construction (concrete) for 35 years and am collecting a pension. Time to get out and do want I wanted to do when I was 18. I'm not going to fool myself, I know it won't be easy, but I've faced adversity before and dealt with it. There isn't any such thing as an easy job. It's what you make of it.
