I made it to the house for my home time finally , and only had to do 3 parked regens lol. Once I get this filter changed I think I have the hang of polly's outbound/back haul system to increase my numbers over the 2nd quarter. Time will tell.
I could always find something to complain about about but in my last 4-5 months with polly I am definitely over all a happy driver. There is some stress over equipment, and some stress I put on myself concerning what loads to choose, but there's absolutely no stress put on me from polly about doing my job. I pick up loads and deliver loads. No micro managing BS. Soon far I'm happy.
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Due to come back off of home time tomorrow. As of 5pm Poly time, no love from back haul yet. Kinda has me a bit concerned....although, if there is ever a delay at getting me a load, a load out of home isn't a bad place to be waiting
*update
Freight must be short on the back haul side. They're deadheading me to KY from FL to pick up a Tyler, TX load over 625 miles for a 675 mile load...not that I'm complaining...pays me the same either way, just don't see how they make a dime on back hauls like this one. And I like 'em to make money so I can continue to earn a generous paycheck.Last edited: Apr 9, 2015

I got to GP Thursday evening after dealing with a headache back haul Coming off hometime. Wrote up my dpf issues Thursday hoping they could look at it and maybe change the filter Friday. Shop chose not to even look at my truck, so I jumped into a loaner and got a 2 dropper ending in Raymond New Hampshire on Tuesday. I'm hoping that they can maybe fix something while I put close to 4k miles on this loaner in a week.

Been a long day. Knew it was to good to be true for no chaining this winter. A big truck spun out and slid sideways up a mt. in Montana today and brought everything to a stop. Once stopped no one had any traction so out came the chains. Oh well made it over to Billings. Deliver my onions on Friday and hopefully get something good for the weekend.

Unless you live down here in the S/E, you may want to avoid coming here. Decided on another run to Valdosta. 3 of us delivered today, I was 1st with a 6:30 appt, the 8 am appt emptied out shortly after, and a 3rd Poly was due in later in the morning. It's now after noon, and here I sit. The 8 a.m. guy got his backhaul load and is gone(I was sitting across from him eating lunch when they called), not sure about the other later appointment...but the other guy that got his load before me said the last bunch of times he's come down here (including into various destinations in FL) he has had to wait for a backhaul...not a good place to be delivering right now

Ended up heading to Dublin, GA after 7 1/2 hours of waiting. Since the shipper is notorious for delays, I didn't risk going in until I took my break. Broker said it is a 24 hour FCFS shipper, and doesn't deliver in Hutchins until next Wednesday, so there is no rush. I already have my 900 set to drop in GP and put myself on Saturdays board, so it all worked out o.k. I really shouldn't complain too much, delays like this are rare here.
Found a good time to pick up at SP Newsprint in East Dublin, GA. Got there around 7:30 am...was the only live load so I got right in and loaded.
Just got my Saturday load. 3 stopper that finals in Sparks, NV. He had a lot of loads and a lot of multi-stop loads (including a 6 stopper or two)Last edited: Apr 16, 2015

I had something happen today that made me feel old. I went to Office Depot to get some carbon paper... mainly because I don't like the blue that comes with the log-book. I walk the entire store and don't see any. So, I search out an employee to point me in the right direction. The lady (girl) might have been 20. When I asked her where the carbon paper was...she just looked puzzled, kinda' like I asked her where to tie up my horse and buggy or where the sasparilla was...she had no clue what carbon paper was. She had to ask someone else...and, the other part that makes me feel old...I had walked right by it and was looking at the stuff right next to it and never saw it...with big plain letters CARBON PAPER. Maybe mom was right...it does make you go blind

I am broke down in North Pa SUCKSSSSSSSSSSSS. Loaner was running like a champ and i noticed the oil pressure was getting below 30 but didnt give it to much thought. Was at the truckstop and all of a sudden it shut off. Started it back up and 10 seconds later it shut off. Stop engine light was on so i had to call fleetnet and get towed to the dealership.
Dealership wont even run codes on the truck till Monday which sucks but what can you do. The Ta tried to pull a code but it said everything was working fine :/.
I was told by some other Poly drivers that it sounds like the issue with some of the older trucks needing new oil filters and oil change before they actually are scheduled to get it.
Oh well even though its a bummer to be broke down i am happy that i was on a long load so ill have good miles to turn in. Could be worse i could be on a 800 mile run instead of a 4k+ run oh well.
