"side to compensate them for the use of their MC authority. They wont release me onto my own mc. They have a set OO program. They make a extra $700 off each truck per year charging that $40 a week Actually its prob alot more as we only run Ohio as of this year unless we do line hauls, then they give us a diff plate.... "

What do you mean they give you a different plate. You change the plate on your truck. That doesn't seem legal.
I think you're correct. The extra money made will be spent for the extra expenses to run. Did you ask if you could a company truck for the company that has the weekend work for you. Good luck.

They have 2 divisions that we can run.

    Intermodal and LTL

The intermodal pays percentage roughly 120ish for a 2-3 hour job unless you get hung up on a hand load.
the ltl pays 1.30mi + tolls from Cleveland to far side Chicago it pays about 630 per trip and they expect you to get there and back in your 11 hours....... Its just not possible to do this legally with the traffic and dot, and they write company guys up if they take 24 hours. its 343 miles ea way, 2-3 hour reload. I thought about doing it, but thats alot of miles to rack up and 42k in the box ea way

The intermodal plates are registered for Ohio only
LTL is registered for like 15 states.

company drivers only make $14 hr. I thought about it but they cant even guarantee 40 hrs a week.

They almost never have weekend work. and when they do its 2 runs maybe

14 an hour is horrid for a company driver. Can you take your truck some place else? The pay seems a bit low, but I don't know for sure.

As a company driver, anything less than 20hr is horrible imo. I average 20-24hr as a leased on driver depending on the run, but now that I have my own truck its 2x minus truck and repair savings... So about the same but with a repair savings account that adds 1000 a month lol.

They pay company guys bad because all their trucks are ryder leases, $2100 month plus mileage.
