Me personally I would never drive any cascadia before the year 2015. I drove 2011 and 2012 models and the rides were so rough that my wrist and lower back would be sore from the horrible non-suspension those trucks have. Now I have a 2015 and the ride is smooth.
How does this truck look? Need too many repairs?

Sounds like too much of a gamble for a single owner operator. Even if the price is right, your cash flow will suffer trying to get the truck running. When starting up a company, cash is scarce.. I would find a truck that cost a little more, but know I won't have to spend money on repairs right away. Also someone was right about finding a truck with a sleeper. Better resale value in the future...

the biggest issue i see isn't just fixing all the current problems but i can guarantee you not all the listed problems showed up at once. would make me seriously question how well the truck was taken care of. let alone whenever you buy a use truck and no matter how thoroughly you look it over for every problem you find when looking at it your find 2 more when you start actually working the truck. there is problems that just don't show up till you have a load on running it threw its paces.

Hey guys, thanks for the last couple of responses. Remember that day cabs are what are needed here because its pick up and delivery work with a lot of city traffic and smaller streets.
Here is a different truck. I know there are many issues but if you also re-read my original post, you'll see that I haven't been able to find many sellers with my budget.
1. Air compressor very slow to build air (will need rebuilt or replaced soon)
2. Alternator output: 13.5 at idle (600 rpm); 14.0 at 1000 rpm (although it is
charging, the voltage regulator is fluctuating and on its way out# alternator
will need replacement soon)
3. Tractor protection valve (palm valve on dash) release to set brakes at
approx 20 PSI (primary) and 25 PSI (secondary)
4. Secondary air tank "uses" air with applied braking (one way check valve
may be bad)
5. No check engine lights or DPF lights illuminated on dash
6. Oil leaks on left side (road side of engine, cannot locate source)
7. Power steering system appears to have a leak, fluid level is at minimum
mark on resivoir
8. Needs power steering hose# high pressure supply hose on steering
gearbox leaking internally into hose at crimped fitting
9. Oil leak or right side of engine pretty bad, looks like possible head gasket.
10. Oil leak from back side of engine, dripping down onto transmission cooler
lines. Puddle of fresh oil found from this leak. (looks like all new parts on
engine; head, fuel system components, air#to#air system)
11. Drivers seat height adjustment (air control actuator) sticks/leaks and
needs replacement
So to make this easier, could you guys rate this one on a scale of 0-10 on how likely it is to have major problems in the future? 0 being the worst (it will break down completely) and 10 the best. Like I said, its hard to find the specific trucks I need so that's why I'm even considering this truck. Thank you. -
Give your budget and maybe someone knows of or will come across one that is in better shape than you seem to find. What you will be able to obtain will depend on how much you can spend too,.

Sounds like a money pit. Day cabs are not rare I'd keep looking.
dlo Thanks this. -
Don't focus too much on this particular truck, that you are missing out on everyone else's advice. Take your time and find a good truck with no problems. A good used truck will not have these many issues.

Thanks for the replies guys. This truck search is going no where.... already got a few trucks inspected with no luck.
I'll post a new thread or revive one to see what sellers you guys recomment.
