Spyblaster (usually doesn't let you go to known harmful sites that has malware ext..)

Its not really a site verifier but rather keeps you from going to know bad sites..

 

wonder why avg doesn't do this on its own



seems like having 2 programs doing similar jobs might slow computer down does it?

 

Well not really programs like spyblaster, AVG spyware ext.. basically work together.. what one missed the other will get..

Things you don't want 2 of are programs such as Antivirus..
You don't want 2 antivirus programs running..

you don't want 2 programs like Spybot search and destroy "tea timer"
you only want one program running that watches

Spybot is fine just don't want two programs running at the same time that does the same thing that spybots tea timer does at the same time..

I consider a must for any system (all free)


Non of them will stop you from going to fake sites though... only keep your system clean of spyware/malware excess files ext...

AVG and its new site verification does though.. Its pretty cool



One more thing I should say is spyblaster does not run in the background.. need to visit the site and read about the program...
