Site Upgrade - PLEASE READ May 8th-9th

We are in the process of preparing for the site upgrade. This involves migrating from vBulletin to Xenforo to fix a lot of the problems that we have had with vBulletin that is unsupported and there are no fixes. There will be a learning curve and we hope that you will enjoy the software once we make the transition.

There are some really nice features that will be available to you in the new software and some things will look/function different than you are used to. But in the overall picture, its definitely a move in the right direction for the overall health of the community.

Many of the problems that we have been experiencing will be gone, for instance the broken attachment issue and the 503 server error when reporting threads/posts.

The 503 error has been a concern for a while and this migration will make the site more stable.

I appreciate your patience with the staff as we will be learning it right along with you and are eager to help you through the transition. We will do our best to answer questions about where things are or how to accomplish things that you are used to.

I do realize that change is difficult for some. I hope that they will reach out to the staff for help, so that we can make that change easier on them. We all want this to go as smooth as glass, but I'm sure there will be hiccups along the way. We will do our best to help any member struggling. We've got the best staff there is!

 

Yes, Everett, you can post videos in the new software. The quick reply bar is VERY similar to what you see here. So that helps a LOT!

 

I did forget to mention that the site will be down through the upgrade so that we capture all the current content and get it moved and no one looses posts or threads.
