if a truck is just purchased and driving home w/ hunter plate and a not for hire sign, it is 1) not registered 2) no decals or sticker, the tractor could be classified as a motor home toter, which doesn't even require a commercial license if reg. as such. I fail to understand their reasoning as being a governing body over my property. can anyone provide a explanation and rule?

Colorado scales are now under the state police jurisdiction. I would never tell a off colored joke in a scale house, a driver should be about all business, do it and get out. I'm looking at a truck in Utah, will stop in Wyoming and Colorado and pay up.

As for my sense of entitlement.....how about going through eight (8) STATES and only one (1) asking for money........Is it just me or some of you just don't ever get it...???? ..lol...
Wake up truckers! stop being offended about ridiculous things, you really sound like democrats when you do that, or overly sensitive women freaking out all the time about nothing.
Start using common sense and seeing the post for what it is: A good warning for truckers buying a truck outside their own state. "Stay Away from Colorado".
(PS: I had forgotten Idaho, brings my total to 8 states, which also did not expect any payments from me. Temp tags and bill of sale is all they wanted to see. they even wished me "Good luck with the new truck")
Have fun out there! -
