anyone ever blow the air horn for kids driving by?

The kids usually give me the signal when I'm passing through a small town and I feel bad about having to disappoint them. I won't blow the horn in a residential or business area like that. Out on the highway it just depends if anyone is close enough on the road to be bothered by it.

Kids don't think like adults. When I was a kid I didn't think hitting the ball in the field near our big picture window was a problem until it went through it.

 

Remembering way back when I was a doing the arm pump sure I give it a quick toot or 2. If not sure the parents realize whats going on I dont give it much air and it sounds sick..lol

Agree, I use to love it as a kid so I want to make a kid's day!

 

Use to do it but today the way some drivers ( 4 wheelers ) respond to a LOUD HORN I hold off doing it in heavy traffic .

 

There's one instance where I stopped doing it....On the route into/out of my co.'s main yard, I pass through an area where there's quite a few little 5-6 business strip malls, restaurants, and a few gas stations. Also, there area is home to ALOT of liberal weenie tree-hugger types that have disdain for anything that has an engine that utilizes fossil fuels....That being said, one of the shops hired a young lady to stand out at the roadside and wave/spin a sign for their store. When she first started, it was kinda cute- she'd do the arm pump, I'd give her a blast or 2, and she'd smile and wave. But it got to the point where sometimes I'd have to pass by multiple times a day, and everytime she'd expect me to respond....Finally, hoping to avoid some pissed off residents calling in (we are a pretty well known and recognizable local company) I started taking a different route....

 

I can understand that, i have lots old country folk and they just got to here that train sound! Lol!
