You will get more responses if you tell us your location and whether money is no object.

I'm currently in Houston, money does play a factor. I am willing to travel for trucking school if I have to. I have reviewed Prime and CRST, and I visited Stevens Transport. I'm open to for comment and or advice.

honestly IMHO you cant beat the training you get from a good community college. they usually take longer but are more in depth. they also tend to be cheaper than private schools like sage or roadmaster. not to discount roadmaster or sage both offer quality training as well but it tends to be more condensed. that being said im attending roadmaster in west Memphis soon

Houston Community College has a good program from what I've heard. They are also PTDI certified.

Finding a 40 year veteran to teach you is the best school...

If you are having trouble affording school, Stevens does have relatively decent schooling. At least they did in 2007. And their on the road training was really in depth, as well. Not sure what their requirements are anymore to get in, though.

Just remember, Stevens is a starter. Get in, do your time, and move on to better.
