I've heard a few nightmare stories about getting through checks and inspections at Nellis. Does it really take two hours?

Security has been raised to Bravo at all military bases due to recent threats.

Always go in Nellis and inspections go pretty quick, at the test site I have to give up my guns, computer and camera then sign a secrecy form ..

Fortunately, today went well. 31 minutes. I'm okay with that.

I don't know about Nellis but I need to get in to many of the military and government installations in the Washington DC region. Have all of your paperwork readily, and neatly, presentable and above all, make sure all documentation is typed out so that it is legible. Anything handwritten and most guards will send you packin'.

Not really related to the question, but my older brother just took over the fire chiefs position for nellis.

haven't been to nellis. but so far, all i've had to supply was my registration and bol's. at all other installations.
and my driver license for background check. -
I was just at Nellis last week. Took less than 5 minutes for inspection/background check. Getting the foreign objects out of my tires to go on the tarmac took longer.

Did your company send them info ahead of time?
