Yup had to wait three extra hours after my trailer was loaded at a Tyson for someone to inspect my load before I left. Reefer is not worth the trouble. The rare times I get dry loads I got loaded and empty fast and the places I go to are as quiet as a nice park.
Reefer places have 1000 dropped reefers going full blast plus the reefers in the doors and the idling trucks and the huge refrigerator used to cool the warehouse you have to yell for someone to hear you its so loud outside.

Agree with everyone else and god forbid you forget to precool the trailer and sit at the dock like an idiot wondering why they aren't loading you.

lmao.......all generalizations.....wait times are customer driven.......as many places will hold up a dry box as places that hold up an ice box.....depends on what you are doin and Who you are doing it for.....in terms of produce...especially if u r new w/a big company you Will wait longer......But......thats all relative....and plenty of big outfits haul spuds/melons etc....in a vented van.....so there you are...
IMHO.......if you are looking to change jobs.....look at the Company very hard.....talk to their drivers pay attention to the typed of places you see them and the customer base and frt lanes they claim they have.......good luck.....Dna Mach and knuckledragger Thank this. -
I've done both. There is no difference in wait times. I've delivered at all hours of the day and night and had quick and not so quick experiences in both dry and reefer.
