Get on with a good company and $1000 a week is easily doable in a company truck pulling a van. I know because I do it every week, just calculated last week and since January 1 this year my average net pay has been 1,047.38 and I go home every weekend. I'm not one that hates all leases but this one sounds terrible. Several expenses are unaccounted for and with perfect 3k mile weeks and no breakdowns you're hoping your pre tax check is the same as mine after taxes. I understand the value argument of working towards owning the truck but I also understand the value argument of free time not being spent fixing it. I understand that not everyone needs to make the same amount to be happy but I for the life of me can't understand why someone would choose to make less when more is so easily obtainable.

As long as you're happy that's all that matters. I have to ask though, the $1068.81 you received, how much of that is set aside for tax?

    rckbottom Thanks this.

That's a BAD week for me...and I'm home every night! My first week at my new job I took home more than that and I only worked 2 days. But, if YOU are happy making that, more power to you.
