per his original post he doesnt have the money to even afford a lawyer or to pay for the small claims court filing fees jurisdiction in the Ill area, also since he lives in fla he will have to go BACK to ill to file the claim.
-
Call a lawyer anyway or file something with the labor board no matter if you have the money or not
....... What do you have to loose? -
One reason why people go "postal". I would find me a lawyer and drag their ##### in court. I am not a legal expert, but if what you have stated is true, there's got to be something that you can charge them with. Call Paul Taylor @ Truckers Justice Center.

I agree completely. Now not that a prospective driver would.... one can look at the category entries and see exactly what is going on say like log issues, A poorly maintained truck can be seen as well as a speeding truck. I would read the plates and see if it's the same truck ( speeding ) or the whole fleet, same with equipment, same or all.
You make an argument well founded. The industry has complained about this since the beginning. We always dug as deep as we could to break out the data before the carrier decision was made. This was part of my job. It's not a perfect science but it's all we had along with customer feed back.
I take it the driver wasn't reporting the citations to you........bad deal. The good deal is it will go away with time.
The rest of the fleet can run clean and the numbers will drop.
JMOKANSAS TRANSIT and TruckDuo Thank this. -
truckerlife74, bigdogpile, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.

I would file complaints with every state, fed. local , ANY agency that would cause them to take time and money to respond to. might not get your money back but you can bet they won't forget you. But that's me.

why in the sam hell would you go to work for a company named Cult Power in the first place? I picture orientation being something like a scene out of Rosemary's Baby. When will drivers learn about theses shady 1099 Eastern European owned companies?
Joetro, Balakov100, drvrtech77 and 3 others Thank this. -
But I'd surmise that your case was the exception rather than the norm, especially when compared to companies based in or around Chicago.Dinomite, chalupa, TruckDuo and 1 other person Thank this. -
Driver with 27 yrs of experience doesn't have enough money to get home? So what's the difference between him and homeless hobo? Regardless how crappy he was treated by that fly by night outfit, its not a pretty picture of some of us.
Dinomite Thanks this.
