All I can speak for is the Jax terminal. I love the people I work with. Drove over the road for two years, two different companies, and finally landed a local job at Eagle Hauling Fuel in Jax.
The people I work with are awesome, the terminal manager is a great guy who I can go and talk to anytime about anything. I make great money, IMO, and I'd say Eagle and GATE are the two top companies to work for hauling fuel in jax. That's from talking with guys at the rack while loading and getting their opinions on the companies they work for.
Anyway, I haven't posted in a long time, just figured I'd drop in and share my experience.

What happened?? Bad experience at eagle? I'm in south Florida and eagle wants to come in and recruit our students at Sheridan technical college. I wanna know if it's worth taking at least to start

In Jacksonville, their terminal manager just let things get away from him. People that have been there for 10+ years said it's the worst they've ever seen it up here. I left because the maintenance on the trucks is horrible, and I hated driving trucks with the automatic transmissions. Although every terminal is different and so you could have a better experience down there.
I still recommend them for a beginner fuel hauler. After a year move to a better paying company.123456 Thanks this. -
I just recommend staying away Florida Rock, they're the CR England of local work

CWC Transportation out of Sunrise, FL. Very small company, paid hourly, Peterbilt trucks leased through PacLease. All 10 speed manuals. They keep up on maintenance, if anything is wrong with the truck or trailer they want it to get fixed right away. I work less and make more than I did at Eagle.Bigdaddy00 Thanks this. -
U think I could get in there?? I'm in Palm beach county so that's not too far down from me. My school is actually in davie. I'd love to at least road test and show them what I can do.
My instructor might have something for me at tropic oil company, but who knows what actually will come through.
Do u know if they are looking for drivers?
Thanks for any help man.
