Any day you have a 200 mile load paying nearly $1000 is a good day.
Lets see how long I can stay in the midwest until I get sucked back into PA again lol.

Well after Ft. Wayne I'm off to Chicago tomorrow.
I got a good rate heading further west which is always my goal because it's the most difficult.
Rates east are usually a lot better than going west.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
I give it by friday, you'll be on here saying welp! Im back in PA lol
Dominick253 and freightwipper Thank this. -
LMAO!
Nope not this week, I should be in St. Louis area tomorrow morning and then plan is to stay in the mid-west over the weekend because there's always good freight on weekends here. PA/Northeast area suck on weekends.
There's loads from around St. Louis going all the way to I95 area in VA and into the Northeast for over $2 but nope but happening as I don't want to be stuck there on the weekend.
Yesterday I could have done a load around 850 all miles to NJ for $2.30 all miles and turned that down.
So far it looks like I'm keeping my head above $2 all miles in the midwest staking on short runs and that's what I'm gonna keep working as long as I can.
Since I started working again I somehow managed to escape from near Allentown, PA to St. Louis over all my loads for over $2 which is a miracle.
Can't complain about rates right now.. it's been the best yet for me so far.Dominick253 and Campitor Thank this. -
Schneider screwed up on an appointment time soooooooooo I sat for 7 hours until I got unloaded, pushed my second stop till tomorrow and had my great next load pulled away from me
That was my $960 200 mile load where the appointment was messed up.
Anyways I'll still be off to Chicago tomorrow, I'm going to deadhead 160 miles to get a load going 40 miles.
It pays nearly $10 per loaded mile so whatever it's still getting me into a good market.
It's a drop and hook and live unload.
So instead of having an amazing perfect week.. I'll still have a good week.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
I'll probably hit up the Mall of America Thursday as I'll be right there.

So this pay period even though I got screwed today my numbers starting Monday till Thursday around 3pm in WI I'll be at
1125 miles $2583 in Revenue + $50 in detention
About $2.34 all miles
and no I'm not making up my numbers
So say if I'm done for Thursday and get in 350 miles a day at $1.60 all miles Friday, Sat, Sun, Mon
(which isn't asking for a lot) that's another 1400 miles and $2240 which would put my week estimate at 2525 miles and $4823 in revenue running at $1.91 for the week.
Figure $1000 in fuel and $1103 in fixed costs and I'll still do $2720 for the week after all that without working hard.
That's an example what a low key rest of the rest in addition to what I'm ready doing.
Of course things can change.. I could chill or haul butt, things can backfire or I could find another 90 mile load paying near $600. There's always many choices and possibilities in each and everyday. Things are interesting that's for sure and I am using my mind a lot vs when I was just a company driver. Having soo many options does make it awesome.
Heck if I took off Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon I'd still have around $1000 after fixed and fuel costs running what? 1125 miles for the week?
The point of this and saying my thoughts here is that when I said in my original post that doing $2000 a week "hasn't been difficult" well now you see it even with a screwed up day today.
Also things backfiring aren't soo bad when you're not taking cheap freight.
Stay tuned to see how things turn out.Last edited: Jun 10, 2015
