None of that breakdown really matters to me but it is helpful to figure out how often Schneider makes pay errors like that one 40 mile load I wrote a thread about that paid over $200 in fuel surcharge and over $800 in total revenue lol.

There is endless in freight in PA.. Nj area is okay.
You can run back and forth between that area with short loads and do fine.
I gave an example of a day like that as such in my original post.
That area of short runs is usually what I do until I find something half decent to get out of the Northeast.

There's other ICs that just stay in the Northeast that live in the area and they do very well.
I'd drive off a mountain if I had to stay in that region forever though lol.

It's not too bad here. It's just the winter months you have to be really careful. I just hope there is enough freight for short hauls to get around to everyone Especially local drivers. It seems like from your posts, you have to be on top of those load boards before someone else takes them

There's always enough short hauls in the Northeast.. ALWAYS.
There and Chicagoland you can always work endless short loads if you want.

You have to be on top of the load board to get the best of the best rates.
Like the 90 something mile load I'm doing tomorrow in MN that pays $578.
Or the 210 mile load I finished today that paid $960.
There's only so much hot freight and it goes super fast.'
I can't just get on once a week and book my whole week out and think I'll get all hot loads lined up, it doesn't work that way.
That doesn't mean however you can't get good rates.
For example I'll be in Green Bay Friday and as of this moment I just counted 20 different loads on Friday I can pick up nearby that range between 330-950 miles all that pay $1.70+ all miles. There's nothing wrong with that. And tomorrow they will be new loads I can pick up on Friday.
So far I'm holding out till tomorrow to try and get another great load. If nothing great comes up I'll settle but still for sure I know there will be $1.70+ all day long leaving Green Bay.

    Schneider pays the tolls!
What other expense so you have besides truck payments, fuels, and maintence.
    Who pays the insurance?
Do you get timed out since its E-logs?
I'm a local driver and never did logs before

    Dominick253 Thanks this.

Schneider pays all tolls besides the turnpike in OH-IN and the Florida turnpike but going to Florida isn't exactly a smart move.
You're leasing a truck.. it's under your name thus you pay the insurance. That was factored into my fixed costs I listed on my original post.
Yes we're on E-Logs so 14 hours and that's that.

I just got the last parking spot in a rest area near Chicago.
Think that calls for me getting a lotto ticket tonight.

If you only have local experience SFI might not approve you. Maybe it's changed but it used to be Local wasn't qualified.

They won't even hire you if you only have regional experience.
It must be OTR experience and they don't budge on that.
