    If the truck has a Carrier APU; no inverter as the Carrier have a generator on them. The Tri-Paks have an inverter, but I am not sure of the size.

    In other news;

    Esmeralda (name of the truck) got her first taste of blood tonight. Hit a deer at 63mph along US-169 five miles south of Olathe, KS. No damage to the truck thanks to the bambi basher

    I hit a good size bird a couple of weeks ago. It put a dent in the air grill. Shocked me big time. The bird flew up from the edge of the road and right into the grill of the truck.

    If any of you JCT guys have a t680 can you tell me how its spec'd and maybe a pic of the dash, at least the gauges, thanks. I know I've been asking a lot, but really interested in coming over there.

    She was asleep when it happened, but she woke up while I was editing the video and I didn't realize it until she asked me if the deer was ok. So, I had to tell her what happened and that it was quick and painless. Then made the joke that how come its momma didn't teach it to look both ways before crossing the street. She giggled and said its an animal. It doesn't know.

    And there you have it folks. It really can't be said any better than this entire post. I made money CONSISTENTLY while there. Granted, I wasn't there much more than three months (had to come home to a corp job, new baby and so on), but I never had a negative settlement. I learned from the experienced drivers how to make money, how to SLOW THE **** DOWN, etc.... Sure, some customers really made me want to set the place on fire, but it didn't matter, I had a 2012 Cascadia, worn out shocks, horrible EGR cooler (drank a gallon of coolant every couple days) until they fixed it. I made money. Period. Could have made more had I bit the bullet and dropped my average speed to below 60mph (I stuck around 63 or so).

    Folks, if you think JCT is out there trying to get over on drivers, you don't understand that they are too concerned about the BIG picture to worry about screwing drivers. If a driver wins, THEY win. Plain and simple. I wasn't interested in owning a truck, otherwise I would have gone out and financed one. I rented their truck to make money, and made more money running back and forth across the country than I ever did as a company driver.

    I still miss it like crazy though. It's been just over a year since I came home and have to live vicariously through you guys to get my fix.

    Some folks just aren't cut out for Lease or O/O. That's ok though, the world needs ditch diggers too. You can make good money at JCT, and even get some equity in the truck (if you end up finishing the lease) to boot. I have seen numbers for some other Lease companies, and while I wouldn't say that JCT is the top, I would definitely say it worked out for me. It was the type of driving I actually wanted to do. Coast to coast. Could be in Cali seeing my brother this week, and in Miami hanging out with an old Marine Corps friend the next. I looked into this company for at least four years prior to finally jumping on board. I kicked myself for waiting so long. It's not for everyone, especially if you want to stay closer to home, and don't want to worry about maximizing your fuel dollar, watching every penny, etc. But at least at JCT I could have some control over how much revenue I took in based on my own habits.... even the bad ones.

    They even hire nasty squids like Camaro, so they really do give EVERYone a chance, no matter from how low on the totem-boat they come from.

    < looks around for Camaro.... ready to duck.... >

    Hey hey, I resemble that squid remark...ha ha. I have been researching and studying these companies for about 7 or 8 years, so might have you beat there. I think overall, JCT might be a better fit for me. I'll keep asking questions, but by the end of the year, I'll probably head that way.
