Zipties to lock chassis pins.

just remember, zip ties can break from vibration, thus why I use bailing wire

 

While baiing wire is good, companies want zip ties, replace if bad, I'm always zip ties under the hood. they don't break then again its not the same. I have had zipties break on mud flaps. I use mechanics wire for that if needed. Keeps lights in place too

 

Been pulling cans for over a year and never had a zip tie to break on me.

 

I forgot to mention, when using zip ties on mud flaps they snapped while putting the mud flap on. I like mechanics wire cause its a little easier to use and a tad more flexible then bail wire but both work.

 

Remember, Grasshopper, all zip ties are not created equal. (cheap China junk, you know, pkg. of 4,000 for $1.99)

I use ziptides but I'm going to start using cheap string, I have seen guys use locks

 

Been pulling cans for 17.6 yrs, I've seen them break, pulled a RBTU today up to Wally world, there were the remains of probably 6 to 8 zip ties in the pocket for the front locks, of the two that were in place already, one was broken and hanging there. I pulled them both and put a quick piece of wire in place.

 

Depending on the ramp, this policy has been in place a long time, in Denver, in some form or another, it's been in place almost 2 years. And thus why I use bailing wire, it's a quick twist, I take it with me and reuse it later.
