SFI gets notified from the manufacturer then suppose to notify the lessee. I had two recalls on my T-700. Got a letter on one but not the other. Dealer found it while fixing the first recall.

Question for you Choice drivers...do you have any recourse in turning down a load after accepting it if it's listed incorrectly? I.E. Listed as a drop and hook and it turns out to be a live load or being listed as 15000lbs and it ends up being 40000lbs etc.

    Dominick253 Thanks this.

Has anyone brought there own truck over to schnider instead of leasing through sni finance?

Did sni provide you with base blates and permits or did you have to get your own oporateing athourity?

What about tractor bobtail insurance and all of that, what that provided by sni or did you have to get your own?

I'm looking at bringing a tractor over that I am currently leasing from another company.

    Thanks,

If the appointment times are screwed up or the load isn't ready you could get out of it.. I have.
    As far as the rest...
Weight you never know. I've had loads listed 40k that ended up being 3k.
Weight isn't that accurate a lot. Sometimes the max weight the load could be listed.
Most often by far my loads weighed less than what was listed.
Usually when a load says 40000.. it won't be accurate but if it's listed as 40572 then it's usually accurate.
    That's just from my experience.
While rare listed loads do change and most often it's the customers fault when it does happen.
I had a live unload change into a drop while in route yesterday.
Things like that do happen but for me it's been rare.
You need a good reason for Schneider to pull a load off you after already showing up.
One time I got out of a load because the preloaded trailer was messed up, I was't gonna blow my day getting that repaired and Schneider let me out of that one.
If I show up and say I don't feel like pulling a heavy load today they won't allow that lol.

It's extremely unlikely after deadheading to get a load will you want to get out of it based on the weight.
You burn time and fuel already getting to the load and more importantly what else are you gonna do? Find a better load same day and deadhead to that?
That ain't happening because same day loads generally suck. It's leftover they didn't even give to the company drivers lol.
99% of the time I book at least a day ahead. Whatever isn't preassigned to drivers goes to company trucks at that point. I never want to reach a point where all I'm dealing with is leftover freight but that's just me.

Dominick253, xlsdraw and mxpx148 Thank this.

Yes there's some drivers on this forum whom have done that and they post on this site.
From what I understand Schneider offers their own plates, permits and etc if you want to use theirs. You don't have to if you don't want to.
