You should ask what the schedule is for getting a trainer. I'm out of Mocksville and will be setting home for the 3rd week. They have been putting more drivers thru orientation than they have trainers. Problem appears to be trainers are getting recertified, going on vacation and CT hasn't slowed the number at orientation to make up for the difference. Yes you still get 500 a week to sit at home but it will be nice to get out there to get the training over and get assigned a truck and be able to make better money for yourself and the company. I have to admit everyone is friendly and my TM is doing a good job at keeping me well informed. This may only be at the Mocksville terminal as I heard while in Savannah that they were building up Mocksville.

I'd rather be driving but it has let me get some things taken care of. I'm enlarging my driveway entrance so I can get the trailer in. The better half says it's ok to sit and get paid. I hope things are going well and the heat gives you a break.

That sounds good. Tim said I should pick up my trainer around the 28th. I should get a good week before the 4th of July holiday. But maybe a slow one the week of.

Sorry for barging in but does CT have the VA apprenticeship program? It's not on their website.

They do have the dough for joes. I believe you have to have a cdl, or be a recent grad from cdl school and have been discharged within the pass 3 yrs. I haven't heard anything about a apprenticeship program. They also pay you back up to 6000 towards schooling. It's not all at once. Something like 150 a month after being with them 45 days. I don't believe they payback your schooling if the VA paid for it unless you can show it was a loan you have to pay.

    Ordy19 Thanks this.
