Buying a older truck

    hi all right now i run otr for prime have been for bout year and a half. Been making decent money as lease. Ive been doing reserch around home ie buffalo ny and a rew places i can lease onto with a older truck.. Im thinking buying a older truck (1994-2000) ish. I am me mechanically inclined so most repairs are no problem. Buying this truck then doing strictly short runs 1000 miles or less. Anyone doing this? Thanks tim

    1000 miles for me is otr,must of the better paying loads for me are under 600 miles.

    Same here. I run a 2003 KW but I just overhauled it this past February. Doing 1,000-1300 a week, butbut shortershorter runs

    Im looking at a 1988 cab over freightliner guy wants 5000 been overhauled needs tires and brakes but if im doing less than 2000 miles a week i think that should work

    Just depends on what your going to do with it. If it has a small motor and you pull heavy loads it may not last long.

    Old trucks are a bad investment it looks like....oh oh
