EGT is a pyrometer. Same thing. Without the sensor, no workie. A new exhaust piece ( or you can drill and weld the right size nut if you're handy like that) typically is $100 and a sensor will run you about $60. I don't know how to hook it up to the ECM as mine came with it and I just replaced the parts.

You are correct, I have both the D and the KR (got the D while having the KR fixed under warranty). Aside from KR's signature on the front, there is very little difference:

The D will show fuel cost per mile as you drive down the road.

Instead of fuel cost per mile, the KR will show revenue less fuel cost per mile as you go down the road. And it can also convert that to an hourly rate.

The KR can also display the ECM odometer reading, something the D cannot.

That's pretty much it. Supposedly the KR sampling rate for the instantaneous mpg readout is smoother, but I don't notice much difference between it and the D when the D is set to "update slow."

    TallJoe and 77fib77 Thank this.

it's interesting how whenever KR "partners" with someone the price of their product goes up 33%, I guess that's how you help O/O's be successful.

    double yellow Thanks this.
