You want to know why we don't come over there?
most van drivers really don't care to pull a reefer. Not saying it's a bad gig...but you gotta like being a reefer driver

It's not bad, I rarely go to grocery warehouse, our company rarely does produce warehouse mostly frozen, I don't miss the grocery lists of Salinas Ca. I may touch a dock 3 times a week,I did dry van for 16 years, the new reefers are pretty quite,I just like long runs, to me bumping docks more then 3 times,a week is a waste your 70.

Well, strike 2 on my recent repairs. 1st the engine fan goes back out, and now it's asking for a parked regen....J-U-N-K, any dam(n) fool who would buy a fleet of Internationals for their drivers deserve bankruptcy (right along with their drivers going broke from lack of productivity)

Supersnackbar I keep up with this thread cause I was interested in Poly a while back. It seems to me from the outside looking in that you guys have a lot of breakdowns.

If I was you I would not make the move. In my opinion it would be to much of a lateral move and depending on personal preference, maybe even a downgrade.

I haven't brought home less than two thousand in two weeks since I've been with poly unless hometime was involved.
Out of the things you listed, poly could offer a good 401k and choice of outbound loads (which as of late isn't that great) but definitely a plus for a trucking company in my opinion.

When companies buy 2nd rate budget equipment, they get what they pay for...and since the management isn't losing money out of their paycheck, they don't seem to sense the equipment issues as anything major, I guess

In the first 6 months of this year I've been on a hook 4 times and limped to a dealership once. That being said I have made a little over 28k in those 6 months with some extended hometime due to new baby in February and dad passing away in June.
By the way my maxxforce still requires a parked regen once a day sometimes 2 and apu still not working. Tractor was in our shop and at international for 3 weeks in may-June :( for these exact issues.

Minus the red demon poly is good with me so far.

On the email you sent me, what department does the person you named work in? (Just so I know who I am talking to when I call)

And unless you like sitting, I would opt to stay where you are, if it were me. Sounds like you keep busier there than here.

    Supersnackbar-
It makes a big difference when your dealing with junk equipment, breakdown pay sucks, stuck on the side of the road bites!! I have been reading Poly from the beginning, to me I would call it a train wreck of a company, to rely upon outside brokers absolutely sucks.almost went to work for them years ago, back then there trucks were run into the ground, stripper freightliners, when you have to advertise in all the trucking magazine there might be something wrong with the picture. I'm very Fortunate that the company I work for only buys nice equipment oldest piece of equipment is 2014 most is all 15-16 with 2016 coming in daily, it does help to have a fast turn around at the shop, in and out in a couple of hours,if they can't fix it goes to the dealer, who pushes us to to top priority.. This is the way it should be for all of us out here, If a company needs to have loaner trucks, and there is none ,there might be a problem. They just put us in a new truck, doesn't bother me I just moved into a brand-new 2016 Volvo 780 and I'm loving every minute of it,fully loaded, has more power than the Freightliner Cascadia,an automatic that actually works, the I shift, I have never been a Volvo fan until now, talk about creature comforts, the layout, the fit and finish is great, the ride is incredible. It also helps to have a large customer base. That's how trucking companies should take care of there best assets, the driver! What makes a difference is that I'm happy where I work, not a lot of drivers can say that now a days. Our company is not perfect, but in trucking nothing is. I've been in your shoes and it sucks!! Good luck to you in your search.
