Exactly Schneider profits Everytime we buy fuel. Both by the transaction fee and by the portion of the discount we don't get.

That's how the board can have such cheap freight and if a company truck hauls it we pay for part of the fuel.

Can't blame them we do get a discount just not the full discount.

That's why IF you can get your own fuel discount the better however I'd bet NASTC even keeps a few pennies for their bottom line too.

It's about maximizing your profit.

 

The transaction fee is charged by EFS. Every fuel card I've ever seen charges a fee.

Can't blame SNI for maximizing their profits.

I wonder if there is any legal reason SNI could not simply make it a policy that we have to use their card.

 

If I'm not mistake, the courts have ruled that a trucking co cannot make an owner operator purchase services from them..including insurance, fuel card etc. .

 

We're IC if they dictate we use their card then we'd become employee's.

Fleet One has no transaction fee.

 

Which is why I didn't get into last night.

Fuel discount is separate from the fuel surcharge.
All the surcharge does is off set the coast of high fuel.
The fuel bonus we get from SNI is low compared to what other companies offer..either that or they're keeping part of it from Pilot.
Whatever..I'm not trying to sway anyone to NASTC.
NASTC is a legitimate organization..and who you get your fuel card from is YOUR concern as a BUSINESS owner..so it's not a "Loop hole"

Again I don't care..keep plugging away with your Company issued EFS card.
$1 everytime you swipe it..adds up.

Yeah... I Looked into Nastc years ago. I didn't make the switch, because I didn't want to go to their orientation. Since I'm leased on I will be making the switch.

 

Works best at creepy places.
