Has anyone noticed how freight and rated have dried up ? I expected this for 4th of July but freight has not picked up ? The only brokers posting loads are the CHEAP ones .

im in the same boat as you for some reason after the 4th there is less loads and the ones that come up are cheap and its not just us imo the biggest thing is the price of oil is too cheap and theres not enough work for eeryone since oil rigs are down

It's ridiculous! I think we all need to pull those colorful buttons and see how fast the rates go up

Shippers have decided with the lower fuel prices, rates should go down also.
Too many brokers grabbing for business.
Economy is not really all that great.
Lots of people jumping into trucking, not knowing all they need to know.

Yeah I see it too, took 30 minutes after I got empty for my dispatcher to find me another load. Anything over 29 is excessive

Come on, recession ended years ago now. It's not like w e have a communist president more concerned with expanding food stamp rolls than the economy.
No shortage of the bottom feeder freight, but the good rates are buried in there too. I find brokers lowballing more these days, if you hardline them & stick to your guns they seem to find a few hundred laying around...
