Does anyone run a small external AC/heater unit?

I've been doing a bit of internet surfing to find a small, quiet unit that would heat and cool the cab of my pickup using a small generator. It needs to be compact and somewhat affordable too. I came across this one online:

It checks all my requirement boxes. It heats/cools up to 400cu ft. My cab is less than half that. Runs at a 4.3 amp draw (air) so my Yami inverter genny will handle it no problem. It plumbs thru the back of the cab instead of being roof-mounted, so it's less exposed to the elements, and can be hidden from prying eyes.

I know it says it's not warranteed for R.V's, trailers, and trucks even as they recommend it for teardrop trailers! Has anyone used this unit, or have another setup that would work? Pics if you have them.

 

It's a portable unit so i think it's inyended to be disconnected and stowed away when not in use. I actually like the quick disconnects, and i like the clean look of requiring just two small holes to the cab.

 

No. I want to see what other drivers are using before i pull the trigger.

 

Sounds about right. It's definately a concern when the unit costs five times ($500) what a basic window mount unit costs. Maybe the R.V. rooftop units are better designed to take the road vibration but i havent found one small enough for what i need.
