Sounds as though the pilot car needs to work smarter, not louder. Not everyone has a cb, and they are not required to effectively transport freight, but it is a prerequisite for the pilot car and od to have the skills to drive safely and cautiously enough to thwart calamity and collisions.

Op, best way to deal with Neanderthals like that is to smile and wave at them.
Being friendly really pisses them off generally.
I still run cb as I believe it's important for safety but when idiots start cursing, the volume gets turned down for a while.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
I agree with you on both counts, thanks.

I just tell em that if they hadn't stopped and played with themselves this morning, they would have been ahead of me by now.

The problem is, I-85 in NC is trucks in the right 2 lanes, he was in the 3rd lane. Everybody is wrong, let's move along to more important things, like how to eek out a 30 minute break on the fuel island without someone throwing a pad lock on your trailer.NavigatorWife Thanks this.

Gotta do what you gotta do I guess.

I'm governed at 65. I used to run it at 65 but was catching up to too many trucks governed the same speed so now I run 63. I don't catch up to as many trucks now but when I do I have 2 more mph to play with. I probably save the company some money on fuel efficiency too which makes up for me ignoring their rediculous idle policy.

There's four lanes, he's in lane three. Bob tail can go around. The OP was using the lane of least resistance. Good for him. You just sound like the disgruntled guy in the bob tail truck with the attitude of bashing governed trucks. Grow up.
