Yes, there are quacks among us all, whether it be an MD, DO, chiropractor, or dentist. After 33 years in health care, I've encountered many. It's important to keep in mind that the examining physician for your D.O.T. physical should NEVER be your treating physician unless he was your treating physician FIRST. This is a conflict of interest at best. Medical doctors are not in the business of getting you well. They are in the business of selling you medicine. Dentists are the same, and so are chiropractors. It's rare to find an honest one out there. I've had fellow chiropractors act all big and bad over the number of therapies and products they sell and prescribe to their patients. I look at them and have no shame in saying, "I don't play with toys." People I adjust I send on their way telling them "call me if you need me."

I hadn't notice before, so you're a chiropractor? or once were? Are you now a trucker? Interesting either way! So as not to make you go through all my threads; I quit driving this year had been treated by 3 different chiropractors for neck & lower back pains Would feel good after treatment but shortly there after from bouncing all day again I'ld start to hurt, so I finally quit.. Truckers go through so much bouncing 11 hours a day it's incredible. There should be a chiropractor in every truck stop!

I was never a truck driver, but I am a chiropractor. I worked in the trucking industry for Penske Truck Leasing during my earliest years in health care. I've been practicing now as a chiropractor for the past 15 years. I once had an office on I-80 in Bartonsville, PA. Now I'm licensed in New Jersey. I am a Certified Medical Examiner, and I do D.O.T. physicals. But because of admin here, I can't advertise my services. So, you'll just have to Google me, I guess.

Yes, every truck stop needs a chiropractor. Every truck stop ALSO needs a CME. Since I am both, I figured I'd have the run of the mill as I went to different truck stops throughout northern New Jersey. NONE of them were interested in having me there, although I ran into the same negative reception in other states I practiced. I guess it takes you guys to go to the (same) truck stop managers I talked to and tell them I need to be there. (haha) Good luck with that. Where I am now has truck fueling stations but is not a full-service truck stop. They WANT to be someday as they just changed from being a US Gas to being a 76.

do you think having a mobile unit where you go from TS to TS would be more acceptable to the managers? just a thought for you. Seems t
there has been prejudices against chiropractors for a long time right?, I read the medical doctors didn't want competition so they published articles deeming them as evil to scare people away. Well I for one think they're chiropractors are great!

Well actually, I AM mobile. This is not my website, not an advertisement, but my listing on the D.O.T. website. You can take it from there: https://goo.gl/eVNLjp

Actually, in 1989, the American Medical Association lost an antitrust lawsuit in the Illinois Supreme Court for its formal efforts to destroy the chiropractic profession. I like to point out the evidence that supported the validity of our profession to the naysayers that are still out there, particularly that just about every major league sports team, including world Olympic teams, have their own chiropractors on staff.

    You're right about that!
My daughter runs marathons and that's how she ended up needing a chiropractor, found out one leg was longer than the other. After hearing me complain about my back & neck all the time actually set my first visit up with a chiropractor. and I'm soooooo glad she did!
