The sad thing is that .33 is per diem most likely.

I know a fellow who doesn't care what he gets paid he just wants to drive a truck. Not the brightest obviously, but you get the point. To each his own.

Where are you located? Someone has to be able to help you find a better gig in your area. I drive for a smaller 75 truck outfit that starts newbies at 42 cents and they run us pretty good if you can manage a clock.

There is more to your total pay than just how much per mile you make. Different companies pay different amounts of accessorials and you will average different numbers of miles with different companies so you need to try to find out what an actual average paycheck for a newbie is.

That said I started driving about 7 years ago and the lowest rate I was ever paid was .39 per mile so I think you're a bit low.

I sure like the idea of the company paying the taxes and me keeping all my wages.

Dollars to donuts, this guy will probably end up being the one of the BEST truck drivers on our nations highways. He will put his HEART and SOUL into it.

Money is NOT always the motivating factor. Quite often it is LIKING and LOVING what you are doing that makes many people good at what they do.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

I'm sorry but if you're an adult and can't figure out what tax rate you're being taxed at you're probably not worth much more than .33/mile. And this isn't the first time I've come across somebody asking this question on here. I don't know how you don't have info like that pretty much memorized.
