I hope they don't , It means I'm out there again trying to find life in the trucking business I'm generally happy with the majority of the time , and over 27 years doing this that's easier said than just done just like that imo.

The day I hope they close their doors , I wouldn't be a current Poly driver that's for sure.

As far as shipping goes , i agree to take a load at such and such a time and i show up at that time , FMCSA rules require that i be ' on duty ' at that time . Its Poly's loss if
the appointment can't be made due to their shipping department

Maybe the writings on the wall , big corporations generally don't throw good money after
bad , they out source , and find others ways to do things .

Any idea do they boot a driver out at Poly if they detect him or her putting in applications
    at other companies ?

I fell for that rumor at first, but it isn't true, unless they are looking for a reason anyway. But since TX is a right to work state...they really don't need a reason

Hoping they outsource tells me some folks can't stand the fact that it works for some and not others. Sounds like they'd rather everyone be out of a job, than for some others to be happy while they're not.
If you guys put as much effort into finding something better as you put into calling them out , soon you should be in the best gig this business has to offer , even as close to perfect as perfect would be for you individually.
Good luck in finding that "IF" it actually does exist.
And oh btw back in Feb 2013 myself and one other guy were in orientation , recently I talked to him , he doesn't come here. And lives in FL , he's a missionary travelling a couple times a year internationally to do good work. He tells me 2 weeks ago he paid a bunch of debt off , and the alimony is coming to a close , oh yeah he has a Brand new Dodge Ram 1500 he bought for a vehicle to get on and off the yard with. Hmmm sounds like he's doing real good for himself , that can't be can it ?

Heck, I don't work for Poly, thru this thread, I feel I could slip right in, and know what's going on and the folks at orientation would throw me out and tell me to get back to work. LOL ;)
And most of us could write a check for 50 grand and not have to ask a loan officer for permission, and that's a low number

Yes , gratitude is better than picking at Poly
because we aren't getting what we want.
Its easy to get swirled up in ones own sense
    of specialness at these forums.
    All apologies

Really ? So what you're saying is my very high credit score is probably a lot lower than most truck drivers today ? Hmmm , this is entertaining that much I will concede to , just because people make good money doesn't mean even the majority can write those checks you mention , and wow 50K is a low number too aye ?
This really is refreshing to know how wealthy we all are . Oh wait , I'm not included I'm a Poly driver oops. See there is a thing called cost of living and it does differ state to state , I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you're from the New England area , let me know if I'm close , I have heard this from a lot of folks up there .

Nope, I'm from Indiana, I drive old vehicles, pay $280 a month for rent and am in the process of devolping my homestead.
    Rain permitting!!!!
You keep saying you're comfortable with your income, and me too and a lot more of us are too.
I like this thread, Poly looks like a fair but totally annoying company, sort of almost like I work at.
I get the scoop here and could fit right in, heck at my interview, I would ##### about Tony leaving, haha.
And 80 % of the posters on here have a ton of cash earning, cough, cough, 1 cough, percent interest.
