What do they teach at a CDL school

Ok here is what I already know

10,13 Speed Float and double clutch ,
Backing snake ,90 degrees blind side and driver side
    Left right turns
Hooking up the fifth wheel, making sure they are the same height as the trailer.
    opening the trailer doors,
Stopping, clutch brake and air brakes.
    Hooking up truck cables.
check for oil and other cabin gauges.
    adjusting Tandems.

What else would I learn if I go to a CDL school, aside from that I need OTR training that I would NOT bypass.

They don't teach you to float a no no at most companies, they don't teach you to blind side 90 you'll be lucky to do learn to pass a drivers side 90 in that amount of school time -- some schools I have heard of don.t teach you to even back up..it's all much harder than it looks

My school was 5 weeks long and i just passed my CDL test today ..

Our school you learn how to double clutch only 10 and 13, straight back, off set -driver and blind and ,parallel on blind and driver side, 90 driver side only , also driver side 45 .
also how to do a full pre-trip and air brakes test..along with multiple road tests

A month from now tell me how long it took for you to stop double clutching. Schools have 1 objective to get you a license not how to be prepared for the real world

But no need for me to worry about that at this time Thank God.. have a great night enjoy..be safe driver
