Just wondering ....hauling jet engines has always interested me, just wondering what the pay was like and an outlook for steady freight. With the airlines consistently grossing Billons in profit yearly, it would seem there is no down side to this "niche" market.
What are your thoughts, comments for breaking into the field.....and naturally any good advise.

Call me an a-hole , but if a guy has a good gig going why in hell would he share info to strangers on the internet? Especially now that everybody that bought a step because it was good for a while is parked or hauling for food.

I've got 1, maybe 2 little leads into aviation parts, and I'm not going to share. Sorry. They're close to where I live and I like the freight. And looking at the big planes. -

Pulled a couple jet engines as a company driver. I definitely wouldn't give that broker info but I can tell you it was a hot load from Atlanta to Baton Rouge. Got in at 3 am and they were waiting for me. Help untarp and fold em. Paid real good. Point being your not gonna get any help getting in.

It's like everything else. The jet engines used to pay stupid money. I used to pull them from the Atlanta airport to Memphis (FedEx) for $4500-10000, depending on value. Had a buddy, who was a newer owner op for another company pull them for $1200 flat years later.
Sometimes, it's like a circus when dealing with the engines. delays in customs, paperwork...stuff like that. Factor in the need for extra cargo insurance because of the value, and suddenly it doesn't look so good if the money's not there to make it worth the risk.
