$2.19 per gallon just less than 45 min. ago.

It is $2.59 at the Flying J in front of my house.

Agreed, but the average Joe Q don't care about you or I, neither does the government, nor the shipper/manufacturer, nor the broker. Why do we have to bear the burden, when they are charging those rates to John Q on their line items. They are just expecting to make profit off of your labor as well as their widgets. Kinda like buying the whole glider in the first place. Figured I better put that in because that is what the original post was about. Wasting money on gliders, when you could buy a new truck. I bill for new equipment, to replace new equipment. Our operators are on percentage so the more we get them the happier they are, I don't know about the rest of you but my obligation is to my family first, my men second, everybody else well they are not part of our equation.

I'm not that familiar with MO, but I don't think Oak Grove ($2.13) is too terribly far

They may have lowered the price this morning, at the J, but it was $2.59 when I came back from the Boston, concert last night at midnight. I will have to adjust our prices again this week as the price of fuel is dropping again, but not by that much. Price per mile for fuel for my guys running hoppers is now adjusted to .40 per mile. Does that make everybody happy now?

Great conversation, but has zero to do with Kevin Rutherford or Pittsburgh Power or a $200K truck that went boom.
