If I had half a mil to blow, a co~driver and didn't care about getting home I'd put together a pretty sweet combo and slap Southern Pride stickers on it.

A downside would probably be having to go into big city airports to deliver and then find a place to park until you get your next load. I know the truck stop in Marysville WA is always full of Southern Pride trucks. Smokey Point Distributing is another big aviation hauler.

Hauling engines is typically a hurry up and wait, team only deal, at least the good paying ones are. I've seen solo 747 engines posted for $2 a mile, F-that. I haul an occasional engine when it's worthwhile, the last one I hauled out of Logan had Southern Pride stickers all over the cradle which made me smile! Risk vs reward is what it's all about in high value trucking. The bottom line is though, if you want to haul engines exclusively, you need to be a team.

Quite a few engines are 11'10 wide. Wouldn't do much good to run a team on the bigger ones.
