I drive primarily in Houston and we have long exit lanes where you will regularly have to pass the traffic in the exit lane and there is no way to avoid having traffic on both sides of you.

Secondly, those lanes I find are more dangerous for OS loads because near exits, you have people trying to skip the exit lane line up by driving in the 2nd or even 3rd lane, then rush over to come to a complete stop to fit in front of the traffic in the exit lane.

I'll go with the left lanes where traffic is more stable in those scenarios. You got to make the best of whatever situation. On 610 though, the easiest lane to drive in is probably the far left where you can stay in your lane.

But in 290, the right and left lanes have barriers with no room, so again, you have to drive in the middle lane unless you want to take two lane.

I took 15 years off but came back- so I know the feeling. I love it when I am loaded but frustrated looking for work right now.
