Sounds like a fuel supply issue, this truck has two fuel filters. Thinking about bypassing the fuel filters and using a separate fuel supply and running it direct.

sounds good James, let me try that. Where is the check valve located?
-
If you want to you can blow air in fuel tank using the vent line to pressure fuel system it will find leaks and put pressure on the return line
-
Thats right, I will try that
-
Let me give that a try, will post my finding later.
-
Do not let any fuel that has not gone thru fuel filter get to inj. They WILL clog on nonfiltered fuel.

D13 on "07 model ?
if the injector cups are ok, I would check the fuel pump aslo; mine is"08 Volvo D13; last weeks i had some long cranking before start in kind of cold weather 2-3 degrees Celsius 35-40f;i have my injectors upgraded and steel cups; i drove down to Texas and the symptoms disappeared even after the engine was stopped overnight, start ok; i visually checked the fueling system, and i noticed the fuel pump is dirty wet with diesel;the pump is located on top of power steering pump, i have to replace both, are still original with almost 1.3 mil. miles; -
