Seems like they give the crap loads to the lease drivers and the good paying ones to the company trucks. As the saying goes,"It's just business, nothing personal."

That seems to be a fairly common theme.

Not once during driver orientation at Freymiller was leasing brought up. They do not push it at all.

Freymiller is a joke. You will get low miles. Fleetmanagers and dispatchers will lie to you. Ok... So they did get me home when I needed to. Great equipment. My advice is to stay clear of this back stabbing hypocrite company. Out of the entire time I was there I had one paycheck that was 1k. The rest was around $600 a week. Want to stay broke and lose what you have now? Then work for freymiller.

Lol, Try running hard, I spent 3 months company and 6 months in the lease program and the only time i didn't see over 3k and almost always 3.5k miles per week was either due to a break down or home time. I cleared $700 + a week in the lease program after taxes and all aside from a couple of weeks when i had truck problems so the lease program is completely doable. I will add though that I went home 3 days every 6 weeks and i wouldn't plan on much better than that till you get some of the payments in that lease paid down. You start the lease with a 300'000 mile truck if you get one that's just been released and at the end of the lease you will have paid right at $170000 for the truck if i recall correctly and the cash amount was $120'000 which is about market value so i was actually getting the truck with less interest than the bank wanted. Through the bank the pay out was going to be $190'000 for the same term loan. The lease is by no means easy, but if you work, treat it like a business and do a good job for your DM then you will pay that truck off and own it. Another thing I liked about the lease program there was they will help you get your own authority although it is pricey through them but once you get it, you get the same money as the o/o running their own authority. Once you accomplish this, the lease gets much much easier to accomplish because you make quite a bit more cash flow on the o/o o/a percentage. I am thinking about giving it a second run if I can get my wife to ride with me so I don't have to worry about her.

Lol... just... 170k for a truck with 300k miles on it is market value? I get that's with interest, but jesus, if your bank is bending you over a barrel like that you need a new bank. Plus, clearing $700 a week for 3k miles is doing good? Is that before of after expenses (including medical insurance)? If before, jesus... some companies I worked for I made almost half again that as a company driver doing 3k miles. I get your saying you aren't going bankrupt, but I wouldn't exactly call that a success story either.

Edit: Check this out, 2014-2015 sleeper cab trucks with between 250k and 350k miles. Cheapest was some crap Int Prostars for around 65k, most expensive some crap Freightliners around 89k. 120k is way too much to start for a used truck, just sayin.

Hypothetical - If you were new, recently obtained your CDL, no experience so you need to pay your dues for a year or two, and were not interested in leasing, just being a company yes man, is Freymiller a decent starter place?
