    He walked away from that crash, but is still dealing with a bum leg. I felt terrible I had my phone turned off that night when he called me. I very rarely turn that phone off.

    Has anyone ever thought about putting a roll cage in a truck?

    Although the trucks we used for skid pad training at Schlumberger did have internal roll cages (and external roll bars), unless it's being used for racing or some similar purpose it's completely impractical. Schlumberger did equip all their tractors and many of their straight trucks with external roll bars, starting in the (early?) '80s. Our passenger vehicles (Toyota Hilux and Land Rovers) in us outside North America had internal roll bars.
