i am wondering if it is to be sure that the glad hands do not get destroyed when trailers get butted up against one another.

to me, the TA is only maybe perhaps a series numbering system. maybe any trailers with the TA numbering is for a dedicated account and no other company driver can take them???

The house for now so my 70 will reset. If it would have already I would hit the TA near Henderson, NC for my Staples drop and hook for a whole 180 mile run I am hooked to. The bright side is that it's short enough I can be done in about 3.5 hours total and a 8 hour reset I think then head to another pick up.

Yeah it's for butting the trailers up against each other.

You know. I have no idea what the TA stands for. Never thought to ask. It may mean something but every OTR trailer I've seen starts with TA

The training trailers have giant "T" painted on them. So if you ever see a Sni driver rolling around with one of those, then he's an idiot.

What's weird is that we don't have those on the dedicated trailers I pull. And it isn't on all of the TA trailers either.

...if it's to guard against folks that can't aim for the kingpin, then the bumpers are in the wrong place. Need to be on the trucks!

Minor update: fever is down to 99. Still too high. ######. Oh, and I'm unpleased to announce that there is a 48-hour fever-free recovery time... Guess that means I'm not rolling until at least Wednesday.

  9. Now if its parking them two and three deep. Understandable, even BNSF has 5th wheel mounts and tandem locks. So its not a rail yard deal.

More inclined for the park by brail crowd.

Just caught me funny..... WTF. Lol

When I drove for SNI, the TA series trailers were the newest trailers they had at the time. Never found out what TA stood for, but they were the newest then.

just like an LTL company i was with..the letters denoted a "series" set. the newer the letters, you knew the newer the trailers.

so if ours were AA, and the newest trailers were AX, then you knew the AA were the oldest, and most likely to screw with you.
