    Hey guys ,
I'm a crude oil hauler up in Canada .
Given the big slow down around the oil fields and patches plus the depressed oil prices I thought I'd start a thread on how much work and what kind of things the companies you're at have for you each day .
Today I'm doing water transfers from wells to disposal sites for most of the morning then I'll be doing my usual crude transfers from the leases back to the cleaning plant . I'll probably get a 14 hour day today. I'm paid percentage of truck revenue so that should get me about $450 into my pocket for today. It's not as good as it used to be but it's still enough to make it worth sticking around .

Those are Canadian dollars, that's about $342 US. Still a pretty decent days pay.

Ite enough to stay in the area and keep working . It's not consistently that good each day though. On average my income is about 35% lower than it was 12 months ago. I'm not complaining though , I'm grateful just to have a job and still be working

Back in Montana/Wyoming driving a winch truck and filling in as a field mechanic. Hours are about the same as last fall, except that I'm doing more wrench turning and less driving than I did last October.

I'm still getting 65 hours per week in the pump truck working Monday through Friday. I picked up extra overtime the last two Saturdays peeling/buffing stickers off trucks because our company name changed and we've got to get them re-badged.

Watford City Crude - Gone from 5/2, 5/1 to forced 5/2, 5/3. 35k+ pay cut. Went from 5800 every 2 weeks to 3800. Division is up for sale, no transfers to other centers. Sale could happen at any time. 1 mechanic for 15 trucks. The work is there, they just refuse to let anyone work extra.
