Let me start by rephrasing your question: The US Marshals have the broadest authority of all federal law enforcement agencies. We are responsible for locating and apprehending Federal, State and Local fugitives. We are in charge of the national asset seizure program which handles forfeited criminal assets. We are in charge of security of Federal Courthouses. We transport prisoners for Court production. We run the Federal Witness Protection program. We are in charge of the Nuclear missile escort program. We are also currently training Police officials in Iraq. (abridged)

What do I believe...simple answer: nope.

However, the question within your question...depression & mental illness for people whom Sit Down for extended periods is increased. (i.e. created by the work environment). What types of special mental illness training do State Troopers (within your State) go thru that are focused solely to the OTR driver.
(i.e. Some Trained Troopers will interact by greatest gravity w/OTR drivers....others not so much.)

Peripheral issue: why is it that when a defendant in a criminal proceedings using an assertive defense. Will find evidence to support the suspects point of view not surrender to the Criminal Court. i.e. signed Judges Orders requesting all mitigating statements or for those free thinkers: aggravating statements. (Musing...is this Mental Illness or Mitigating a potential Civil Action. Or is this a fallacy belief...?)

Mental Illness exists on both sides: Not unlike the Officer whom decides to use the word Swear as creative language. i.e. Suspect upon being arrested, upon hearing their Miranda Warning...(retorts)...you too have the right to remain silent. (i.e. Officer then states in Court, the suspect after given their Miranda Warning...the suspect began to swear.).

However, you decide the merit on these points that I've promoted: Good Form thru words is an elegant dance in metaphysics...you end where you began. Good Form will always have a physical movement involved.

 

Case Study- Myself:...back when I first began driving...(+20 years ago)...I roll into the weigh station/NM Port of Entry, the Officer standing outside was asking about log books...when my truck roll up to the Officer, he asked me if my logbook was filled out....I just retorted by giving him a big happy belly laugh...then replied...Actually, yes, it is...he told me to go on...get out of here. Yes Sir! (nope, wont do that again...mud flap broke off trailer, placed the mudflap on the tractors catwalk...10 mins later on this early sunday morning, trooper pulls me over asking about the mudflap...my chin pulling into my chest...in a sullen voice...explaining how that happened...Trooper begins to console me...I wont ask you about ur logbook. (sigh)

 

Don't forget that you can prevent a logbook inspection simply by putting it in a stamped, addressed envelope and sealing it.. That makes it property of the US Postal Service. Every truck stop lawyer knows this.

 

Lt? Agent or Special agent or Special Agent in Charge. no sargents ot lieutenants in FBI. Chain isnt set up with those titles.
