12 foot sleeper coming to your carrier soon?

Could you see some kid fresh out of truck school working for (mega carrier swift, us express, cr England blah blah blah). Getting this dream ride.

Wake up, no mega will let a greenhorn drive a 240k truck just to fill and keep a seat.

More like the specialist pulling team hauling jet engines. Or a stepdeck, furniture movers.

Its a nice pipe dream for those who are just starting. From a business point of view. One wreck of this vehicle is worth three trucks a company could have rolling.

Why would they buy one when they can have 3 drivers.

i took a daycab out for a couple weeks.....wasnt fun

 

They said that back when I started driving when #### near everyone drove a cabover, a 265 inch wheelbase, was a long truck.

 

Just read some adds from a company (that curiously didn't admit who they were) that is including a free TV in every truck(!!!) with DirectTV.

Anything to get meat in the seat.

 

I see Reliable Carriers has some big sleepers like that.

 

No matter how nice or how big, it ain't home!

 

Try driving north on US 83 from North Platte to Valentine. Lots of swamp land

 

No dishes, no bills, no chores, no lawn.

It's not home, it's a man-cave!

 

If you can squeeze a toilet/shower into a factory sleeper that would be awesome.

We already have fridges and microwave.

I can't imaging needing twelve feet of sleper though to accomplish that.
