    I always see people post about micromanaging and the fuel solution being bad but if you see an issue with it why not have your dispatcher change it to something that works out better? I don't know how many times I've done just that and it was changed

    For me fuel solution is not an issue. How they plan theirs loads is an issue. When im getting loaded somewhere another System truck is picking up load to Canada but driver cant go to Canada and he has to drop that load in System yard.
    I can go to Canada but they give me load going elsewhere. Now later they find me load going to Canada but now I have to take 24hours (ends up being 34) to be able to go to Canada.
    Why cant they plan their loads a little bit better is beyound me. Their load planner is lacking common sense imo.
    Also when im empty Ill sit 1-3 hrs at the customer waiting for next load assignment. They knew where Im going, why didnt they try to find me load 1-3 days before I got to final stop?
    Central Oregon trucking claims to pay $100 if you have to sit waiting for next load 1 hour or more, just saying...

    Loads are set up first empty first dispatched and what's on your 70. I never sit for a load as soon as I send my empty call or sometimes before I send it I'll have a preplan. I take that back I did sit once it was in okc they had to wait for the okc planners to offer up a load I could take back west so after that I found out if your in area that isn't covered by your Fleet you'll be waiting on the load planners that cover that area

    I take it your in the NW fleet since you go up into Canada most of the OTR guys don't

    Cotc pays 100 for layover pay if not dispatched for 24hours same as system I think. Cotc detention pay is a 100 after the first hour from what I remember reading systems is 114 after 2 hours

    My AH post would be: why aren't you working there since It's so much better?

    My real post is: how about you communicate better with dispatch? I've had a few really stupid loads. I caught one of them and got myself rerouted. The other couple I just missed. Stuff happens. How does this mean System sucksas opposed to be a company.

    Because: 1. Your on a #### fleet with #### dispatchers. That's a definite possibility. Option 2: freight where you happen to be really stinks.

    I could go for n and on, but why aren't you asking these questions of dispatch?

    We've ALL had dispatchers who stank. What are YOU doing to train them? If you thought that driving truck was mostly about DRIVING, I hate to break it to you, but it's not.

    That was the biggest peeve of mine against System was constantly waiting for hours for a load. One time I sat in the same spot on the street across from a customer in Seattle for 8 hours waiting for a pre plan. One never came so finally they deadheaded me from Seattle to French camp.

    I wish I was... serious as a heart attack. it was a Friday and I was empty around 9 am and sat there all day waiting. They kept saying call back in 30 minutes and after doing that about 12 times they called me back and said screw it, head for California and we'll call you if we find anything along the way.

    Happened to me several times.
    I usually deadhead from Canada back to US. I message them asking where I should head to next-no response or "just wait a few"
    Just wait a few-usually hours not minutes.
    I have to call them and it costs me $2/minute for international call.
    Almost not worth it going to Canada, especially dealing with rude border patrol. They treat towelheads way better.
    Who knows whats hidden in their towel, could be anything.
