Yeah, is System going to retrain you to run on TWT fleet or what are they going to do?

 

I don't work for systems anymore. I pull a cattlepot for a 5 truck outfit in Nebraska

 

Becoming an owner op at systems with out doing a lease purchase is almost impossible as they require CA legal trucks that are too expensive for a 1st truck. Find a small outfit that doesn't run CA and do good work for 6 months or so and a lot of times the owner will hook you up with his bank for financing.

I went to talk with my local bank and went straight to the manager after dropping my bosses name. Told him I wanted to buy a truck and that I was going to lease on with my boss.

He was ready to make the loan that second. You won't get that working for a mega.

 

Ive met several o/o with System who dont have CA compliant trucks.
Ive asked how come you're in CA without emissions bs on your truck?
They smile and say "I just didnt get kicked out yet"

 

Yep. I met a phx owner op who was being allowed to grandfather his old truck for the time being,but it's not an option for new leasees as I understood it. Also they mandate e logs. I wouldn't even consider leasing on with them for those 2 reasons alone.
