Yup. If you are planning for the possibility of planting evidence on someone to make your actions look legal, the best thing to do is to make sure you post about it online beforehand. It's not like that has ever come back to bite someone in the tail before.

I don't care for the small independent truck stops. I could never get used to coffee that tastes like an old dish rag.

Nice thing about one of these vs a gun or a some type of blunt object is you can legally use it much sooner in the confrontation before the situation escalates, without fear of being charged for manslaughter. I suggest that back it up with a firearm but if your willing to carry one then this beats the heck out a tire iron. https://buy.taser.com/collections/weapons/products/c2?variant=1015137805

You shoot them directly in the face with a high-powered crossbow. Then, you go and pull the arrow out the opposite way it went in.

Situational awareness goes a long way. Diffusing situations by remaining calm helps. Holding your ground and maintaining eye contact will thwart most thieves. Thieves are wimps who can't succeed in life. Such people want easy scores. They'll pick easy targets.

I have pepper spray. It shoots 15 feet. I assure you it will bring down anyone. Most knife shops in truck stops carry it. It's legal also. Mace is not legal. They make all sizes up to bear size that shoots like 25'.

When I got mine I bought two. When I got home I tried one to see how it worked. I sprayed a little on the ground and put my finger in it to see if it hurt but not really. It must have been at least an hour later I went to the bathroom. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUCH!!!!!!!!!!

Never had the need to keep a gun in my truck as someone mentioned keep in mind where your at and watch your back,
we had 2 cars stole just the other day right off the dealer as a O/O was unloading them.
Think it would of happened if the keys where in his pocket... Just Saying :p

Far as truck stops run local and be home at night and no worry's about truck stops i rarely use them other then fuel and go.

I made 3 round trips NY-SF and only one time in Oklahoma (near TX) where 4 big truck stops are together there was attempt to steal automatic pumping system from rare wheel of trailer, whoever did it removed all bolts but did not take actual device, I noticed it later and reattached it . one time guy jumped on trailer (I think he was truck driver himself) and looked into cars, I jumped from cabin with iron bar, he apologized said he wanted to see how car looked like (i had audi a7 brand new on trailer)
