Couldn't sleep, so up reading the news. Nothing substantial, but already finding myself looking for a Fedex double to follow around to show me where the ice is. Earlier view outside..

I can win this if it scores like golf. Although since landing this weekly NY run has made me mildly productive. We'll see how that works out when I have to follow the plows around here in about another week or two.

So you all did refill the washer bottle with Winter fluid last time?

Put my last company truck in for service in the late fall. I found out they only use +32 fluid @ that location. Unfortunately I found out during an ice storm on 80 in Iowa 2 weeks later.

Been working. Got assigned an old dog trailer. Noticed the right outer taillamp was out so when I stopped at the Big Country Truck stop at exit 270 in Merkel, TX, I bought a new lamp.

Well of course that didn't fix it.I was trying to unwrap the wiring going from the harness to the right taillamps, it hit me, just splice the outer taillamp lead to the inner and see if that fixes it. So I hacked into the wiring and that fixed it. The old taillamp was good so I put it back in and tossed the new one in the side box for next time.

This is the second time I've had to fix wiring in these old trailers.

    chopper103in and TruckDuo Thank this.

I'll have to check the spare bottle. I think i bought the blue stuff last time instead of bug dissolver, hopefully not the +32º kind. I even have some fuel treatment leftover from last year. I did remember to take my tire chains out of the garage and back on the truck. Still in the bags never been used LOL. I keep dreading the day I have to dig them out of the bunk to actually use them, so may even spring for a chain hanger to stow them outside in an easier to reach place.

No. Now he'll be even safer now that the clearance and brake lights work together.
