I have a question. I am from Ohio and been approved to go to Hendersons cdl school. I have a class B. Do I have to take general knowledge and air brake over again when getting Illinois permit?
I know I need combination. Just want to be prepared. Thanks!

You also will have to take the regular illinois license test first then you will take all your permit tests

    SHOJim Thanks this.

hello everyone, i got a question. In the training portion at henderson, after you get your cdl, do they run you as a team with your trainer, or as a solo truck? The email i got from the recruiter said training was 8-12 weeks long. Thank you for any input on this.

It won't really be considered team with your trainer. But you may end up running like it is a team. Just like with my trainer, it was more like a team after a week because he trusted the way my driving was. Really could be on the trainer I guess. Most I was with mine was about 6 weeks. They say 8-12, because sometimes if a trainer may not think you're ready, you may be out a little longer.

How's your parallel coming along. I'm sure you'll go driving before your test date.
