    Want to run this road?

It's MX40 between Mazatlan and Durango. It's called Espinazo Del Diablo, the Devil's Spine. It goes over the mountains between Durango and Mazatlan.

It's since been replaced by MX40D, which is a turnpike. MX40 is still the free route across the mountains.

Here's a story about the road that replaced it. It was an engineering feat to build.

To put it in perspective. The distance between Durango and Mazatlan is about 160 miles. On the old road the trip could take 8 hours or more. The new road shaves almost 5.5 hours off the drive.

I figured out what makes the dry van special.

    No one sees inside.
